ON THE RISE : JESSIE WARE

I have to admit , I first heard the remix of this song by Disclosure before I instinctively  was curious to hear the original.

Walking home one night after just smoking a joint I played this track on my way home and I was immediately hypnotized by the passion and seduction of the song.
I then realized it was also because its structure and style was reminiscent of tracks from the late 80's & early 90's.

It was almost like Jessie Ware was a counter part to such artists as Sade or Toni Braxton .
It's very refreshing to hear an artist evoke such emotion in a song as I don't think its common in an era where Auto Tune and electronic pop is dominating.

The Disclosure Remix is a great remix if it were played at a club , but the original can't be beaten.
Jessie Ware has also released two other tracks recently , "110%" has a real modern sound , but "Running" is her stand out track for now , will be interesting to see what direction her Album will take.

I also added the Disclosure Remix ,  its a worthy Listen

Inspiration

I'm currently in the middle of developing my next range, and have been browsing through a variety of images and sites, and I came across Maria Jaeger.
No matter how much you try and fight it, you can't resist the beauty of colour. Mix this with nature and you have an irresistible combination of sublime landscapes which are incredibly rich with color , harmony & rythm.

JOSH SOMMERS

Josh Sommers creates Escher - Style images using his own mathematical formula.
Once the formula was complete , he shared it online accompanied by a step by step tutorial that has been viewed over 50,000 times.
His method was later imported into Adobe Photoshop pixel blender plugin.

Josh describing his method : " Pictures taken in every direction are stitched together into a single image. That image is then projected , almost like bending the two ends around until they meet, to form the stereographic projection.

The effect, creates such an interesting perspective - I can't stop smiling at certain pictures - its just simply beautiful yet cool.
